1881 Document bearing eight 1d lilacs with "SPECIMEN" overprints, two pairs with "1st issue 12th July 1881" written alongside and "County" or "London" written below, four further stamps in a lighter shade with "Existing Stamp" written alongside, below which appears "1st delivery from Manufacturers 18th Nov 1881, 1st issue to be public 13th Dec 1881, T.A. Colls". Unfortunately split horizontally into two pieces with three heavy vertical folds affecting four stamps, nevertheless an intriguing document suggesting differing shades of stamps may have been issued to differing offices, with a copy of an article on this item by Peter Young from the Nov/Dec. 2014 G.B Journal, and R.P.S Certificate (2012).

1901 Draft notice for the King Edward VII stamps to be issued in 1902, "as regards the design, the head of the King will be substituted for the head of Queen Victoria ..... without the crown which however appears at the top of the design. In other respects there will be no material change in the design, except in the case of the ½d, 1d, 2½d and 6d ......
