Lymington. 1775 (Oct 19) Entire letter from St. Ubes, Portugal, to London endorsed "By the Charlotte, Capt. Bebell, Q.D.C", landed at Lymington and treated as an inland letter despite the endorsement clearly showing it was received from abroad by private ship, backstamped "LYMING / TON" and a "6/NO" Bishop Mark. Upper flap cut and attached to lower flap to show the entire handstamp, otherwise very fine and unusual.
