image 1883-1968 Parcel Post labels (361) and related items, the Captain H.T Jackson collection which formed the basis of an accompanying G.B Journal article, including "PARCELS POST" labels type A1 for Ballindara and Ballysallough (both unused) and type A2 for Norwich used in 1884, scarce small size type A7 labels without office name used in 1885 from Lombard St. or Beckenham (bearing 1883-84 3d + 6d), many other types for London, English or Scottish offices with a good proportion bearing stamps, unappropriated types, rubber cancels, Parcel Post datestamps, rare handdrawn label of Stocksfield, etc. Also the original 1882 Post Office Parcels Act, Parcel Post Paid datestamps, undelivered parcel labels, Whitfield King 6d postal stationery parcel label, etc. A few faults and the odd stamp removed but the majority fine, an interesting collection. Postal Stores Labels. c.1896-1902 "Postal Stores Department, G.P.O London" Parcel Post labels with integral address portion below addressed to "The Postmaster of .......", all posted from London bearing QV Govt. Parcels stamps, frankings comprising 1½d + 6d + 9d, 1½d + 6d, 1d + 6d, 6d or 1/-, the first with the address portion removed, others with some creasing, cancels include "G.P.O LONDON / PARCEL POST DEPOT" and "MOUNT PLEASANT / PARCEL OFFICE" double ring rubber datestamps, an unusual group. (5).
