Shakespeare Labels. 1902-06 Picture postcards (5) and a lettercard from Stratford on Avon all bearing a 1/- "Shakespeare Stamp" in various colours cancelled by a Stratford on Avon c.d.s, the lettercard also franked 2½d to Germany, the postcards franked 1d to Germany or USA (3) or ½d to Worcester. Also a mint 1864-65 Shakespeare Memorial 1d label. An unusual group, the use of these 1/- labels contrary to Post Office regulations, all fine. (6 + label).

Novelty Postcards. 1909-11 Novelty shaped postcards with enclosed pull out views, ten with a separate address tag attached by string, all postally used with a KEVII ½d stamp, comprising 1d coin from Hunstanton, bathing machine from Llandudno, bathers in the sea from Eastbourne or Blackpool, a Robin from Forfar, a tin of sardines from Great Yarmouth, a thistle from Bridgend, a lifebuoy and sailor from Tintagel, plaice from Hayling Island or Scarborough, and a kipper from Selkirk; also an unused Bournemouth card in the shape of a crab. A very unusual group. (12).
