1740-46 Bonds with embossed revenue stamps (3); 1814 (June 14) Printed "General Order" from the Commander in Chief ordering an announcement to be made that all letters from N.C.Os or soldiers presented to officers for 1d rate postage must be written by the soldiers themselves and not by other people; and 1874 (Mar 7) printed four page pamphlet advertising mines, minerals and mining rights under the Swinedough Estate (with a map of the Estate) to be sold by auction, posted at Bolton franked 1d. Francis Freeling. 1807-35 Letters sent to Freeling, with requests that incorrectly delivered letters be sent to the correct address, request for 19/6 postage to be refunded on a parcel intended for Horse Guards that was put into the post in error, request that Freeling forward a letter by express, recommendation of an applicant as a mail guard, agreement from Robert Leslie R.A to paint Freeling's portrait for 100 guineas, 1832 pass to visit the new Post Office at St. Martins-le-Grand written and signed by Freeling, etc. (12).

Small Post Office Notice (138x217mm) "Inland Letters and Parcels, Rates of Postage"; 1872 P.O Notice "Mail for New Zealand" (faults); various complete or part Post Office Circulars with details of Ship Letters, telegraph offices at special events, 1900 Parcels to P.O.Ws in Boer Camps, etc. (9); and 1927 notice on the official collection of postal packets in London. Also 1922 (Sep 29) Post Office memo concerning the proposed issue of a 1½d postage due label for foreign surcharges, and a part 1922 Post Office Circular announcing a minimum charge of 1½d on underpaid mail from abroad.
