1907-08 Picture postcards (5) and a cover to USA or G.B (5), all with the Southampton Sea Post Office datestamps comprising code "2" (R.M.S "Majestic") on a 1908 (Apr 15) cover only franked 1d but not charged, code "3" (R.M.S "Adriatic", first sailing to Southampton) on a silk postcard of the ship franked 1d, code 5" (2, used on R.M.S "Majestic" or R.M.S "Teutonic") both franked by two KEVII ½d stamps (one with Cherbourg transit c.d.s), and code "7" (2, R.M.S "Oceanic") both on cards only franked ½d. A good group. (6).

image 1907 (Dec 4) Picture postcard from Bristol to Hampshire franked ½d, with British Sea Post Office c.d.s code "7" and "INSUFFICIENTLY / ADDRESSED" cachet. Address partly (but neatly) drawn through, otherwise fine and rare. The only example of this "Insufficiently Addressed" cachet we have seen, clearly applied on the Sea Post, incorrectly used on a missent card, not recorded by Hosking. Photo on Page 84. (Image1)
