1911 (July 17) Two page typed letter signed by D. Lewis-Poole, organiser of the Aerial Post, to Mr Gates, Manager of the Hendon Aerodrome, regarding posting of items in the Shepherds Bush area as posting will no longer be possible at the White City due to Kiralfy demanding 50% of the gross receipts of all sales, stating the Aerial service is designed to illustrate its use in the case of a besieged city, and enclosing a photograph of the design, with proofs of envelopes and postcards to follow as soon as possible. The letter is accompanied by the photograph on thick card (144x183mm) of the artist's drawings for the envelopes and postcards, as adopted but with "HENDON" instead of "LONDON" in the wording. A unique photographic essay and letter. (2). Photo on Page 58. (Image1)
