image 1939 (Jan 27) social airmail cover to "Robert Seeger/Himalaya Expedition/...Kashmir", redirected several times including to "Dutch Himalayan Expedition" with an array of b/s including superb 'JAMMU TAWI', boxed 'INCONNU/NO POST TOWN' b/s & endorsed "Not known", boxed 'RETOUR' h/s on the face. An oustanding destination item. [Jammu Tawi is the largest railway station in Jammu & Kashmir] The 1938-39 German Expedition to Tibet was the brainchild of Hitler's chief propagandist Heinrich Himmler. Lead by the scientist Ernst Schafer, all members were required to join the SS! According to various writers, the Expedition's aims included preparation of maps that could be used for an assault on India, & investigation into Himmler's belief that there were pure-blood Aryans in Tibet! Despite a British newspaper spilling the beans, pro-Nazi operatives in London persuaded PMGA (Prime Minister & Great Appeaser) Neville Chamberlain that he should allow the Germans entry to Sikkim! Apparently the sender of this cover didn't know the difference between Sikkim and Kashmir, any more than Chamberlain knew when he was being duped. Our question is: "Where's the film!?"
