SOUTH-WEST AFRICA: 1904-07 stampless Feldpost group to Germany comprising cover with superb oval 'DEUTSCHE SEEPOST/LINIE/HAMBURG-/WESTAFRIKA/30 11 04/XXXXI' d/s, three different 'Feld- Postkarte' one with very fine 'KD FELDPOSTEXPED/SUDWESTAFRIKA/ a /1.10' (no year slug) & another with superb 'DANZIG' arrival, and different PPCs of Bethanien x2 or Windhuk the last with superb regimental cachet in violet, generally fine. [Between 1904 & 1908, German forces brutally suppressed a rebellion by the Herero & Nama tribes, slaughtering as many as 80% of the Herero & about half of the Nama people. Germany formally acknowledged the genocide only in 2021]

[On 1.3.1888, Klein-Popo was the first office opened in German Togo. On 1.1.1905, the name was changed to Anecho. Lichterfelde, a suburb of Berlin, was home to Prussia's principal military academy. Opened in 1881, the Gross-Lichterfelde Tramway was one of the first electric tramways in the world]
