image 1896, 1 Fr., 15 C. in mixed franking with French colonies general issue 20 C. tied "HAI-PHONG 9 MAI 96" to AR-registered cover endorsed "Via Hongkong" to Philadelphia/USA, on reverse transits "HONG KONG B MY 15 96", italian TPO and US arrivals, some soiling on reverse. Large vermilion boxed "A. R.", quite unusual mixed franking for the 1.35 Fr. AR-registered rate, amazing.

image 1902/1919, very comprehensive mint/used collection with more than 600 mostly different stamps, comprising a vast array of valuable items. The collection starts with the 1902/1906 General Issues with ovpt. "CHINE", i.a. 2 C brown 'Grasset' (Mi.18) with INVERTED overprint, scarce 4 C brown-lilac 'Grasset' (Mi.19, signed Brun & Roumet), 1 Fr, 2 Fr and 10 Fr 'Grasset' (Mi.26-28) etc. The different post office (city) overprints starting with 1901 overprints CANTON and HOI HAO in red, furthermore black overprints from all post offices CANTON, HOI HAO, MONGTZE, PACKHOI, TSCHONGKING and YUNNANSEN on 'Allegory', 'Grasset' and 'Women' issues with many complete series. Also included are various stamps with postmaster h/s overprints "TSCHONG-KING" (officially not issued) and other interesting items.
Attractive and substantial collection in F/VF condition, many key values with expert signatures.
