1817. Unstamped cover/document with the orders of the day for the Allied Army of Occupation in France at Cambrai, after the defeat of Napoleon (I). Signed G. Murray; Sir George Murray was Wellington's former Quartermaster and became Chief of Staff of the Allied Army. Addressed to Major Karkewski, du Corps d'Armee Russe. A bit worn. On heavy, hand-laid linen paper. Absolutely original piece of Napoleonic (and English, Austrian, Hessian, Prussian, Russian, etc.) history.
