French Area, 1849-1978, mint and used collection balance, many hundreds of stamps, hinged or in mounts on blank pages. Includes France (catalog value approximately $7000, mainly early issues to 1930's, plus later postage dues), French Offices Abroad (catalog value $4000+, including some good Offices in China with several better complete sets), French Colonies (Cilicia plus Tahiti to Wallis & Futuna, catalog value approximately $1000), and some modest Monaco (catalog value approximately $500). 19th century issues are in mixed condition (some decent, some not), 20th century generally F.-V.F. Plus there are some interesting covers and some carefully annotated forgeries. A useful lot with many salable stamps and sets. A small sampling has been imaged. Shipping weight 5.5 lbs / 2.5 kilos.
