1843-1930 (c) interesting accumulation contained in half carton, the highlight being a fine 1912 cover from Pondicherry with 1892 15c and 1900 10c to the French Consul in Japan, and a pair of pre-stamp covers again from Pondicherry to France, 1841 to Bordeaux (“PAQUEBOTS/DE LA/MEDITERRANEE” mark) , 1843 to Marseilles. Single sheet with examples of French and British India stamps used in the French Settlements, British India postal stationery used in Chandernagore (1900), many album pages with issues from 1892 both mint and used, also a quantity of Portuguese India material, well worth closer inspection.
