857,3¢ Printing Tercentenary Issue on FDC with ship cancel, F-VF, erased pencil address, first George Neumann cachet, (Mellone no. 857-33), Naval postmark cds "U.S.S./SEP/25/P.M./1939/HELENA", the HELENA was commissioned Sept. 18, 1939 (just a week before) and was sunk July 1943 at the Battle of Kula Gulf. Reverse has a private postmark of a circle and (3) killer bars "FREDERICK/U.S./C.S./#1280/HORTON" with "P.O. BOX 390/PORT CHESTER, N.Y." between killer bars.
