POSTAL HISTORY: 1897 & 1907 German Postal Cards to the PMG both with partial arrival cds, the first requesting free stamps (!), the other advising of sending a money order to pay for stamps, minor faults; 1948 formular 'Postkarte' with 'BERLIN' Overprints to the Town Clerk requesting advice re a missing family; & 1946-47 crudely fashioned postcards with pen-&-ink illustrations of a penguin, a dog-team & expeditioners' hut all with Maps tied by '.../Graham Land/...' cds, addressed to Stanley but probably not carried in the mail.
