Reverse with Chur transit and POSCHIAVO arrival cds's (March 26). A fine cover, the sender left contradictionary routing instructions with 'per Brusio', i.e. via Austrian Lombardy and the Valtellina/Veltlin reaching the Puschlav from the South as well as 'Via di Bellinzona', i.e. via the St. Bernadino, Chur & Engadin reaching the Puschlav from the north, the way finally chosen. RMSP 1861: Cover from Genova to Buenos Ayres, Argentina at double rate endorsed "via D'Inghilterra" franked by Sardinia 1855/63 40 c. carmine and 80 c. yellow-orange with touched to large margins all tied by "Genova" datestamps (Jan 4) in black. 'Sardaigne /Culoz' transit in red (Jan 6) and thence via London. Carried on RMSP Steamer "Magdalena" to Rio and thence on the "Mersey" to Montevideo. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 127.
