image 1840, 1 d., black, Mulready lettersheet, Stereo A180, cancelled by Lombard Str. and London Ship Letter 6.6.1840, with m/s tax of 8 centimes for the transport to Anvers and for the Belgian domestic transport additional 2, finally charged with 10 centimes in black ink, which was claimed from the receiver, reverse with oval framed ANGLETERRE PAR ANVERS, handstamped Anvers and Brussels, a magnificent fresh shop piece for the most discriminating collector, partial paid letter, which is for sure as incoming letter to Belgium most desirable and interesting, one of the very few Overseas Usages, Cert BPA, SUP! image 1841, 2 d., blue, Mulready lettersheet, stereo A94, used from GATEHOUSE/AP23/1841 to USA, cancelled by black Maltese Cross, with m/s note at lower left PAID 10 d., the US claimed 39 c which seems a lot for the domestic transport from the harbour to HAMTONBURGH/Orange County/State of New York, maybe they did not accept partial payment - passed it on as unpaid and charged the receiver, one of two letters known to the US, a great rarity for the transatlantic collector, in good state of preservation for a great distance, cert RPSL,VF-XF!
