image 1907, OHHS: 1909 (10.12) Official Service cover sent within Gizira at the 3 mill ‘En Ville’ sealed letter rate, franked by a combination of un-overprinted 1902 1m. and 1906 4m. bisected stamp, in November of 1909, the Gizira post office apparently ran out of the needed 2m. and 3m. stamps, and therefore resorted to bisecting 4m. vermilion ordinary stamps to use with ordinary stamps to make the local rate for sealed letters, cover imperfections not detracting, only two such covers have been recorded, the other has an additional “no value” stamp, cert. C. F. Hass (2008). (Image)

1938-62 Collection of Officials in an album. It comprises the 1938, 1952, 1959, 1962 issues. Used and unused stamps, shades, inverted watermark are presented. The 1938 has a complete set in “cancelled” on reverse, a complete set misperforated, a block of 4 of the 3 m. with double perforation, a block of 20 of 50 m. misperforated. The 1962 set includes blocks of 4 of all values and several control blocks of 4. inverted watermark of the 4 m. and 50 m. with inverted watermark, two First Day Covers including the 100m., 200m. and 500m. About 90 covers including 2 of the desirable 1952 issue overprinted King of Egypt & Sudan, a wonderful postal history accumulation and an excellent basis for expansion (90 covers)
