MORNINGSIDE & MURRAYFIELD - July 1855 E franked with C2 1d red tied by average strike of the rare MURRAYFIELD type VII cancel and with matching MURRAYFIELD cds on the back in yellow; we have not previously handled this mark on cover. May 1857 E (creased inc. through the stamp) franked with C8 1d red tied by fine example of this very scarce cancel. We have only previously handled two examples. Both covers used locally and creased inc. through the stamp. Also CLERK ST type VIII (with DRUMLITHIE type VIII in green used as a receiver) and WARRISTON type VII on 1857 covers.
