image 1827-1857 Selection of 19 pre-stamp entires, envelopes and wrapper including rare marks and origin offices in Ceylon, noted rare 1828 Jaffna 'Post Paid' with 'Jaffna' straightline alongside, 1830 'Galle / Post paid' Crown cancel on an outer wrapper to London with India Letter / Deal, letters sent by Jaffna steamer, Colombo steamer letter udc, Kandy ship letter and steamer mark, 'Colombo / Post Paid' Crown with inverted 'S' of Po(s)t, red 'Trincomale' with 'Post Paid' mark (2 examples) one with a black hs 'Post Not paid' (repaired wrapper), a fine group and scarce.
