1860, 3d bright blue, BISECTED diagonally, tied by mute bar cancel, on letter-fragment with cds from HALIFAX NOVA SCOTIA, JA.12.1860, along with arrival cds LIVERPOOL, JA.23.60. A further stamp formerly placed left besides the bisect (obviously 6d green) has been removed, otherwise genuine in VF condition.
On October 19th 1854 the 3d bisects were authorised and used to make up the 7 ½d letter-rate to Great Britain. SG (for complete cover) 2500.-£ (Image)
