image 1896 ¼a black on orange paper, Type 3 Ganesh design, without handstamp, unused with good margins. Light bend at top, and some loss of colour, still a sound example of this classic I.F.S. rarity. Only about 20 examples recorded, of which 13 are without handstamp as here. SG 4a, £10000 (Image)

Cat No: 5

image 1896 ½a black on blue green, with control handstamp in blue and four large margins. A couple of minor thin spots from hinge removal characteristic of this fragile issue, nevertheless a most attractive example of this key stamp, ranking amongst the finest of the five recorded by us, of which one is affixed to piece and cut into, and another defective. A wonderful stamp of the highest rarity and importance. BPA Certificate 2021. (Image)

Cat No: 20d var, 21a

image 1899-1906 ¼a brownish red and 1a black, matching lower right corner examples from the setting with roulettes only between the rows, each WITHOUT HANDSTAMP, unused. Flattened creasing (barely noticeable on 1a), and with marginal manuscript endorsements to explain the face values (the ¼a unhelpfully as "4 Four annas" and leading to a couple of ink spots on the stamp), nevertheless a spectacular pair of great rarity, the ¼a previously unrecorded without handstamp.
