RED OVERPRINT: 'C.P.' on Rouletted 2d bright vermilion rejoined blocks of 14 (4x4, less two units at upper-left) & 12 (3x4) carelessly separated by a vertical cut otherwise remarkably fine for parcel usages, the orientation of the roller cancels indicating that the separation preceded the use of the stamps. Rated C+. The block of 12 is Ex AE Fryar and John Griffiths, where stated in error that it was Ex Colonel Harry Napier. The similarly cancelled 'Besancon' block of 12 (2x6) in a pale shade sold for SFr845. (Image1)

RED OVERPRINT: 'C.P.' on Rouletted 2d bright vermilion singles 1) with Dropped 'C' in 'C.P.', an unusually large stamp, concealed repaired tear at left; and 2) with an obvious Double ('Kiss') Print of the Basic Stamp; GPO cds of AP16/68 & SP16/68 respectively. Scarce varieties.
RED OVERPRINT: 'C.P.' on Rouletted 2d bright vermilion tied by GPO cds of AP16/68 to a small piece from the 'Police Gazette' with printed address 'Police Station/...'. An important little artefact that is as close to a cover as has been recorded for this user. [Date range 2.4.1868 to 14.1.1869]
