1853-66 Christopher Columbus specialised used collection beautifully presented on home-made pages identified by printings, shades & watermark positions with many fine examples throughout, noted 1854 Gillet Litho 5c x3, 1856-65 Santiago Printings 5c horizontal strip of 3 (four-margins) on 1865 folded outer to Peru with 'CANCELLED' h/s & 'CONCEPTION/17/OCT/65/CHILE' cds in blue alongside, also 10c bisects on piece x3, 1861-62 London Printings 1c group including mint x10+, 10c blue on blued paper horizontal strip of 4 (four-margins) lightly cancelled, etc, postmark interest, some fiscal usages, condition quite variable as to be expected. Weighs 4 kg. Excellent basis for further study & expansion.

POSTAL HISTORY: 1873-1960 collection of mostly commercial mail with registered items & airmails including a high proportion of used Postal Stationery some with advertising, noted 1873 10c envelope to Holland with 'MELIPULLI' cds, 1895 3c postal card to Austria with unused reply half attached, 1896 1c postal card with boxed 'CONDUCCION/ GRATUITA' h/s for free house delivery, 1900 Registration Letter to Germany x2, 1924 usage of Australian KGV 2d envelope (!) registered to Germany with Chilean 10c 20 & 50c added and 'R/TALTAL' cachet, 1933 Aeropostale envelope to Biaritz (France) with Airmails including 2p overprints pair, 1940 (Aug) registered airmail to Germany with 'VIA CONDOR' cachet endorsed "LATI", 1943 recovered from Yankee Clipper crash at Lisbon with German "Beschadigt..." label, a few wrappers, some inwards mail, etc, lots of postmark interest, condition variable but many fine. Weighs 5 kg.
