Scott Catalogue notes: "Very fine examples of Nos. 10-42a, 44-59a will have perfortations touching the design on at least one side due to the narrow spacing of the stamps on the plates and imperfect perforation methods. Stamps with perfs clear of the design on all four sides are extremely scarce and will command higher prices."
