image Crimean War 1854 (Sept 3): Embossed 1 s. green, a fresh example with large margins, well embossed, neatly cancelled by complete strike of "* ♚ *" crown between stars obliterator in black on piece to which the adhesive may not belong. Minor splitting along silk thread at top and bottom and very light corner crease outside design at top left, nevertheless a very rare usage and attractive adhesive. Cert. Karl Louis (2020) Gi = £ 3'000.rnRemarks: A very rare usage of the 1 s. image Peru 1879: 6d. grey, plate 16, lettered EB, used on cover in delightful mixed franking with Peru 1874 issue 10 Centavos green from IQUIQUE via Callao and London to Lyon. The letter was posted on 17. January and the letter was taxed 50 Centavos, made Callao on 22nd of the same month, where the British stamp was cancelled with the C38 obliterator. The journey was completed on March 1 in Lyon, where the letter was again taxed with 10 Decime. A very fine and rare cover, which was sent by the French Vice Consulate in Iquique. Cert. Enzo Diena. image 1851/60: 6 d. olive-yellow, the lower left half of a diagonally bisected adhesive, a superb example with enormous margins showing parts of both neighbouring stamps, in rich colour and neatly tied by blue '8' numeral obliterator in an oval of bars to cover to Moncton. Reverse with CHATHAM despatch (Aug 6, 1858) cds in blue as well as arrival cds in black of the next day. image The Australian New Hebrides Company 1892: Printed four page document produced by the General Post Office, Sydney being the Time Table for Steamers from "Sydney to Noumea, Vila (Sandwich Island) or Aneityum, and Fiji also for the New Hebrides Group of Islands" with Main Line dates between these Islands and third page showing "Places of Call in the New Hebrides" - Tanna, Eromanga, Sandwich, Tongoa, Api, Mallicolo, Malo, Espiritu Santo Islands etc. The document split and minor imperfections but rare - the services would not have greatly changed five years later when the stamps were issued.
