image 1856/58: Adelaide printing 1 d. yellow-green, a used horizontal pair on 1860 entire letter to Strathallyn cancelled by bold '100' numeral obliterator with "MILANG / SOUTH AUSTRALIA" datestamp at left (Feb 3) in black. Reverse with "Strathallyn" arrival cds (Feb 4) in blue. Tiny closed hole on front panel but a fresh and very fine entire - just 9 covers bearing the Adelaide 1 d. are recorded, just four of these bear 1 d. pairs. Rare and most attractive.rnrnNote: Contents show the barter system in action - "my charges are 7/6d. and I will be obliged at you sending a dark brown hat for Mrs. Kemp, measurements enclosed".
