BERMUDA: 1938-53 KGVI Keyplates Perf 14 12/6d grey & brownish orange SG 120a U/L corner block of 4 with Plate Number '1', exceptional centring, minor characteristic tropicalisation of the gum, lightly mounted in the margins only the stamps being unmounted, Cat £900++. A rare block, especially of this quality.
BRITISH GUIANA: 1882 Baldwin & Co 1c black/magenta SG 162 block of 10 from the Second Setting of 12 (2x6; missing the upper pair) with Foot on '1' SG 162c [7] being the L/H unit in the third row, various orientations of the 'SPECIMEN' punctures, untidy cancels, Cat £355+ for singles. A very scarce used multiple: sold at auction in 1996 for $396.
JAMAICA: 1938-52 KGVI Pictorials ½d green as SG 121 with Crown Missing from the Watermark, 1939 cds. Unlisted by Stanley Gibbons and the Commonwealth KGVI Catalogue. [Gibbons list five other Missing Watermark Bits in this issue, priced between £1400 & £1700 each]
JAMAICA: 1906 West India [sic] & Panama Telegraph Co black/orange-buff 'TELEGRAM' envelope to Colombia with Arms 1d & 2½d + Waterfall 1d bicolour tied by double-oval 'JAMAICA/REGISTERED' d/s, 'R'-in-oval h/s & 'RECOMENDASOS/BARRANQUILLA' arrival cds unusually on the face.
