image CYRENAICA: 1951 (Oct 22) commercial airmail cover to Australia with Mounted Warrior 5m 10m 20m & 50m tied by 'BENGHAZI/22X51/AIR MAIL' cds, a few minor blemishes. A beautiful cover & a most unusual origin/destination combination. [These stamps were on issue for less than two years. On 24.12.1951 Cyrenaica joined with Tripolitania, Fezzan & Ghadames to form the Kingdom of Libya]
