Manchukuo mixed franking cover having Chinese and Japanese stamps cancelled 22.1.1932 in Mukden. Mailed to Peking and backstamped there. Folded vertically middle, tear to top, opened on left bottom seam and severe tear to bottom having a small piece missing. Still a fascinating slice of postal history. (Image)

Impressive Manchukuo cover cancelled in 1933 in Shenyang (Mukden) This mixed Japanese and Manchukuo franking cover was mailed to Captain David Barrett Care of the American Consulate, American Barracks, Tientsin, China. Barrett was a soldier, diplomat, and an old Army China hand. On its reverse there is one Chinese postage due stamp. An out of this world cover. (Image)
