1907 unusually-large official cover from Kuti with very fine strike of the elaborate court seal, transits comprising manuscript of Tatapani & intaglio of Chuatara with manuscript date of 21.5.1907 plus Kathmandu arrival of 24.5.1907. An unusually late usage of the traditional route, which was rarely used after the opening of British India border offices from 1904.

1909 & 1924 covers from Kathmandu to Gyantse 1) jeweller's advertising envelope with KEVII ½a tied by 25½mm 'NEPAL/26AU09' cds, Indian 'BASE OFFICE/31AU09' transit & 'GYANTSE-TIBET/9SE/09/ SILIGURI-BASE' arrival, vertical fold well clear of the stamp & postmarks; and 2) cover with KGV 1a brown tied by largely fine 31mm 'NEPAL/10JUL24' cds poor 'KATMANDU'-in-Oval handstamp & superb 32mm 'GYANTSE/27JUL24/TIBET' arrival cds. [Gyantse was the northernmost of the British India post offices. The person to whom it was addressed at Gyantse acted as a forwarding agent to get the letter to Lhasa]
