1900 (June 22), Cover from Chungking to Miss Alice Hamilton Little in London (8.15), bearing C.I.P. 2c and 4c vertical pair, canceled by "Chungking" bilingual c.d.s., "Shanghai" bilingual transit c.d.s. (7.9), in combination with France "Chine" 25c, canceled by "Shang-hai/Chine" c.d.s. (7.11), the 4c stamp has small faults due to application at the edge of the cover, addressed in the hand of Archibald Little, the founder of the Chungking Local Post system—which by this time had been closed for nearly four years—to his daughter. Also included is an Oct 1901 parcel label, again from Little to his daughter in London, franked with C.I.P. 30c & 50c tied by a "Chungking" bilingual c.d.s. and two Hong Kong 10c ultramarine tied by Hong Kong c.d.s.s; written in the corner is "(Fr)om A.J.
