1924: China 1c Junk postal stationery card cancelled Shanghai 9.3.1924 sent to Berlin via Siberia and Moscow. It shows a CHINESE POSTAGE DUE handstamp "T“ and a boxed postmark with manuscript 4 cents. The stamps were stolen in transit in China and for that reason the postal card was treated as completely unpaid ! = 4c missing x2 for penalty = 8c or 20 pfennig postage at arrival at Berlin. A VERY RARE CASE OF A POSTAL STATIONERY SHOWING POSTAGE DUE BECAUSE OF STAMPS STOLEN IN TRANSIT. (Image)
