A spectacular - you can see it from across the room - variety of superb quality! Ex Stewart Hardy: sold in 2013 for $1048.

1/- blue-green Harrison One-Line Imprint pair ACSC 32(1)ze or (2)ze, unusually well centred, 'suntanned' gum, one unit very lightly mounted the other unmounted, Cat $15,000 for either plate. One of the rarest imprints, of which only one block of 4 and about 10 pairs are recorded.
1/- blue-green Die IIB AJ Mullett imprint block of 4 with Break at NW of Tasmania ACSC 33(3)zb, remarkably well centred especially for an imprint piece, the third unit is unmounted, Cat $1750+ (mounted). About as well centred an imprint block as one might encounter.
5/- grey & yellow 'CA' Monogram single ACSC 44za, exceptional centring, a little aged & the monogram rejoined, Cat $35,000. Rare. [The ACSC records 'CA' monogram blocks of 4 & 8 plus three singles, one with the Watermark Inverted]
10/- grey & deep 'aniline' pink, well centred, CTO with part 'COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA/POSTMASTER/ GENERAL'S/DEPARTMENT' undated cachet, ACSC 48w, no gum, Cat $750+ (this CTO variant is not listed separately in the ACSC). Rare: very few examples have been recorded.
10/- grey & deep 'aniline' pink block of 4 with Type B 'SPECIMEN' Overprint ACSC 48xa, the last unit having been Officially Substituted, characteristic rough perfs, lightly mounted, Cat $8500. Very rare: the ACSC states only four blocks of 4 have been recorded, of which this is the only one with an official substitution, making this a more technically significant item.
£1 chestnut & blue with the Watermark Upright ACSC 52B, well centred, Cat $4000. A very pleasing example of this attractive colour-combination. [In our experience, in the chestnut printings, the upright watermark is significantly scarcer than the more highly catalogued inverted watermark]
£1 chestnut & blue with the Watermark Upright ACSC 52B with a hint of Doubling of the Queensland Coast, a couple of tiny natural paper inclusions characteristic of this printing, a few short perfs, the gum a trifle aged but unmounted, Cat $17,500. [In our experience, in the chestnut printings, the upright watermark is significantly scarcer than the more highly catalogued inverted watermark]
£2 grey-black & rose-carmine, well centred, CTO with part 'COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA/POSTMASTER/ GENERAL'S/DEPARTMENT' undated cachet, ACSC 56w, no gum, Cat $6500+ (this CTO variant is not listed separately in the ACSC). Rare: very few examples have been recorded. Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2001) comments on the pale vignette shade "...probably due to anomalous printing...there is no sign of any rubbing or other deliberate alteration"

PUNCTURED 'OS': £1 grey ACSC 52a (SG O78), a trifle aged, lightly mounted, 'Haas y Bley/Bs Aires' guarantee handstamp (a new one on us!), Cat $3250 (£1900). An attractive example of this very scarce stamp.
