India Used in Zanzibar. c.1876 Cover to India franked on the reverse with die II 4a tied by a diamond of bars, datestamps of Zanzibar (type Z1), Aden, Sea Post Office and Mundra alongside. Edge faults, the front and reverse virtually separated with piece missing at lower right corner, nevertheless a very scarce cancel on cover. Also a second cover with forged Zanzibar c.d.s and diamond of bars cancel. (2).

1887-94 Covers to London franked 4a6p (faults), posted within Zanzibar franked ½a, or to USA franked 2a6p pair, all cancelled by Zanzibar three bar duplex type Z5, the first cover to the Wesleyan Missionary Society believed to be from British East Africa, initialled on the reverse "E.C.G" by the writer Edward Cyril Gordon. Also an 1884 cover posted from Aden to England by Lt. H. Hay, R.N franked 4a, the filing endorsement showing the original letter to be from Zanzibar. Some cover faults, the cover to USA fine. (4).
