Reid Lt/Orange River SCouts/Bethulie/O.R.C." and "OPENED UNDER MARTIAL LAW" label. 3 April 1903 env registered to Germany with 1902 E.R.I. 6d on 6d and E.R.I. 1/- on 5/- (SG 137 & 138). 17 Dec 1908 1d env. to Holland uprated with V.R.I. 2d, O.R.C. ½d (2 types) to make the 2½d overseas rate. 11 Jan 1918 S. 1882-1900 AN INTERESTING GROUP OF COVERS inc. Sept 1892 env from Phillpolis to Rotterdam bearing 1868 1d x 8 with lightly struck 10 cancellation. Another env. from the same correspondence bearing 1868 1d x 4 with the same numeral cancellation. 1896 & 1898 envs to UK bearing 2½d on 3d single and pair respectively showing the reduced single and double postage rate. 6 June 1900 philatelic env. from Bloemfontein to Cape Town with ½d to 5/-.
