Scotland. 1813-55 Entire letters all bearing red wax seals impressed with mailbag seals, comprising "LANG / TOWN", "BUCKIE P.O", "POST OFFICE / GR / STRANRAER" or "STIRLING P.O", the last with a second wax seal impressed with arms and "DEAD LETTER OFFICE", an unusual and scarce group. (4).

Edinburgh. 1848 Entire from Wishaw to Edinburgh bearing for 1d reds, backstamped superb octagonal boxed "RECEIVED OPEN / & RE-SEALED / AT THE POST OFFICE / EDINBURGH" with a red wax seal impressed "GENERAL POST OFFICE / V.R / EDINBURGH", tear to flap, otherwise largely fine and scarce.
