Medway", struck with fine "? / PAID AT / RIO DE JANEIRO" in black and carried at double rate with manuscript "2/-" in red. Reverse with poor double arc "RIO-JANEIRO" cds in black. Struck with framed "P. BRIT" in blue on arrival and handstruck "540 + manuscript 80 = 620 reis" due to pay, the 80 reis due for the Lisbon - Porto leg of the journey.
