1890 GUILDHALL EXHIBITION - AN INTERESTING SELECTION with an unaddressed 19 May 1890 env. bearing 1d red plate 141 CK tied by a v. fine strike of the star shaped "V Crown R" d.s. code 1. 16 May 1890 1½d + 10d stationery env to Somerset House with two complete strikes of the star shaped "V Crown R" d.s. code 8. A 1d P.P.J. card also to Somerset House with a "V [Crown] R" d.s. without code. Also four pieces of compound stationery (ex Levett) comprising 1d + 2½d, 6d + 2d, 4d + 2d and 1/- + 2d. 1890 GUILDHALL EXHIBITION - VERY LATE USE OF THE 1d CARD: 19 May 1890 1d Jubilee card used from the exhibition to London clearly timed at 9:59 on the last day of the exhibition. The card has a written message from James Whitehead chairman of the Guildhall exhibition together with a facsimile signature.
