American Bank Note Co., ca. 1931, sample book of 7 different stamp-type die essays, 10-page booklet (including covers), about 4" x 6", each page with a different die-sunk "stamp" in various allegorical and pictorial designs denominated "1", "2", "3" (2), "5" (2) & "25", each in a different color; originally belonging to abno engraver, Carl T. Arlt, but with later manuscript inscriptions gifting the booklet from another engraver, Charles A. Brooks, to yet another engraver, Edward Felver, on June 24, 1966; minor soiling on the first proof and its facing page, otherwise Very Fine. An interesting chain of ownership. (Image)
