image 1847, 5¢ brown (Scott 1), a Very Fine horizontal pair with nicely balanced margins canceled with light blue grids on an 1850 folded letter from Nashville, Tenn. to Philadelphia with a weak blue Oct 10 Nashville c.d.s. at the left, Very Fine. One of only 15 Nashville 5¢ 1847 covers in Alexander's Census (one of only eight pairs), with a 1991 P.F. certificate noting that the pair is "in the grayish brown family".
