image United Nations Mint and Used Collection on White Ace Pages, 1951 to 1977, with parallel mint (mostly in black mounts, the ones we checked were NH) and used examples of most issues in the period. Also includes several annual souvenir folders and a group of about 40 covers from the UN Philatelic Service in New York, along with a few more commercially-used covers. This very clean and well-organized collection would be a great start to a new UN collection, or to fill gaps in an existing one. See our photos online for an overview of the contents. (Image)

image United States Mint Never Hinged Collection in Two SG Springback Albums, 1931-1966, one album contains singles and one has blocks of four, all displayed in mounts on quadrille pages. image United States Used Collection in a Palo Album with Slipcase, 1847 to 1940, quite an extensive collection with too many better items to list here, but with strength in the early issues, including imperforates, with different types, shades, many grills, complete sets, etc. The back of the book is also impressive with airmails, complete special delivery, good showing of dues, and a scattering of officials. The collection was catalogued as per owner's identifications, with items annotated by him as "space filler" not counted. An overall clean and fine collection, with a few small faults here and there, including the odd straight edge, see our many online scans for an idea. (Image)

image United States Extensive Lot of Used Stamps, from the Late 1800s to 1970s, in thousands of glassines or envelopes, with many identified by catalogue number, housed in two cartons. While a cursory look revealed the presence of older issues, the lot consists mostly of a mix of modern commemoratives and definitives. Duplication is to be expected with up to 60 or more of each for some issues. We noted some precancelled and perfins, as well as back of the book and revenues. Lot is as received, therefore further inspection may yield some surprises. See scans for a glimpse of the content from some of the glassines. Clean lot, overall fine to very fine. (Image)

image United States Mint Collection in a Palo Album with Slipcase, 1857-1940, with a good representation in period, including many complete sets and a bit of back of the book. Some items have a note saying "certificate" which are not included with the collection. We have also not counted a few items identified by the owner as being space fillers, and have counted items indicated as "no gum" as such. Includes one used stamp identified by owner as #153 (cert. no longer present). Catalogue value is for all assumed hinged, as the handful we spot checked were hinged. Noted a few small faults and a few straight edges, still overall fine and a great basis for continuation, especially displayed in this like-new album. See scans for some better pages. (Image)
