image Switzerland Group of 57 Better Covers and Postal Cards, 1858-1981, with lots of scarce material, including the AUG.1.1949 Technology set of 12 on three sets of 2 covers, with one set having a French first day cancel, the second Italian and the third German First Day cancels. A rarely seen set of 6 covers. Also note B80 and B206 souvenir sheets on cover (cat. 120 Swiss Francs), C12a and C14a on an airmail cover to Canada, C26 on a MAY.3.1930 flight cover. Also note #s 46, 55, 59 and B26 on cover, as well as 6 postal stationery cards and lots more. Saw some minor faults but overall very fine and a rarely offered group. (Image)

image United States Group of 15 Early Stampless Covers / Envelopes from New York State, 1818-1853, includes 1818 Geneva SFL with black c.d.s. rated 18½, 1820 Turin SFL with manuscript cancel and manuscript "Way 10½", 1822 Rochester with red oval datestamp, 1833 Albion with black c.d.s., 1833 Verona with manuscript date, 1833 and 1837 Rochester SFLs with red c.d.s. cancels, 1834 New Lebanon SFL with manuscript cancel, 1837 Utica SFL with red oval datestamp, 1838 Canaan 4 Corners SFL, 1842 Geneva SFL with red c.d.s., 1843 Waterloo SFL with "PAID 10" and c.d.s. both in blue, 1844 Troy SFL with "FREE" and c.d.s. both in blue, 1846 Rome SFL with fancy "PAID" and "V" in a double circle plus an oval datestamp, all in blue. The only envelope is an 1853 Syracuse with fancy "PAID" and c.d.s. both in blue and with contents. Overall very fine with the usual creases, small tears, etc. and many better postmarks. image United States Group of 96 Space Related Covers, 1965-1983, includes 4 Challenger space shuttle flown covers in their original folders. Covers are #s 66674, 107551, 180731 and 192232, all launched into space AUG.30.1983. The remaining 92 are mostly all Naval Recovery Force covers, noting covers from Gemini GT5 and GTA-12, Apollo missions 10-17 inclusive and Skylab II and III. Naval ships include U.S.S. Chipola, Goldsborough, Hallister, Joseph Strauss, Rich, Chilton, Carpenter, Princeton, Arlington, New, Hornet, Austin, Hawkins, Spiegelgrove, New Orleans, Ponchatoula and Ticonderoga. Some duplication on the Naval covers, note an autopen signed cover with signatures of Charles Duke, who walked on the moon, and Tony England, support crew. United Nations is also in 6 binders with about 450 pieces, with strength in souvenir cards as well as first days and postal stationery. image Worldwide Small Group of Interesting Covers, with Canadian covers including 2 first flights (with CL40 and CL46 semi-official air mail issues), two other first flights, an Indian Head ASSA postal card mailed 1898, some Small Queen corner card and illustrated covers (including a lovely bicycle one which is a front only), and 4 stampless covers from the 1850s and 1860s. Also a few GB covers including a nice 1899 registered uprated stationery cover to Germany. The United States items include some early stationery covers, early stamped covers, etc. Also includes three covers from Greenland including an illustrated advertising bicycle one from 1964.
