Steamships Ladyboat covers, including Ladies Drake, Rodney, Nelson, Hawkins and Somers. Also 10 C.P. Ship Empress covers including Empresses France, Scotland, Asia, Russia, Canada and Britain. Also 19 Navy or Coastguard ship mail covers with ships from France, Great Britain, Canada, including H.M.C.S. Vancouver, HMS Appolo, HMCS Skeena, HMS York and the French cruiser Jeanne D'Arc. image Group of 26 Dog Sled Covers, 1928-2017, includes 13 covers with Canadian postage and 13 with U.S. postage. The three earliest from 1929 are all cross-border Maine to Montréal and all have Canadian postage with Montréal duplex cancels. Overall, 18 of the covers are from 1929 to 1953, there are six #10 size envelopes, all from 1990-on, with 2 carried on the Carcross / Atlin mail run and the other on the Caribou Gold Rush Trail. Except for one of the #10s with rough opening at top, all are in very fine condition. (Image)

Note emergency hammers from the following districts: Edmonton, Winnipeg, North Bay and Montréal, S.S. Princess Norah oval datestamp, a fares brochure and a St Thomas Ont. station datestamp with an RF 500 in Ludlow. image Group of 116 Maritimes and Québec Railway Post Office Covers and Cards, 1894-1968, includes covers, postal stationery, postcards, facing slip and a letter bill. There are 57 Maritimes items and note better MT350.01 RF "E" and MT272, MT 198.04, MT295, MT6, MT197 and MT 276, all RF "D", plus a good number of RF "C" material. Québec with 59 items and note QC403 RF "F", QC156.02 RF "E" and QC19 RF "D'. Also a number of RF "C" cards and covers. All have been identified either by Gray or Ludlow numbers. Note a few with faults but overall condition is very fine. One item that is worthy of special mention is an inbound registered censor cover with a last day strike of "Newport & Sherb. / R.P.O.". image Group of 21 Eastern Arctic Patrol Covers, 1935-1963, includes 7 covers from 1935 from 7 different ports of call: Port Burwell, Lake Harbour, Churchill, Chesterfield Inlet, Craig Harbour, Ponds Inlet and Pangnirtung, all to the same address in Hamilton. There are 8 1936 covers from the same ports of call as in 1935 plus Port Harrison, all 8 are to the same address in Winnipeg. Also a 1937 airmail cover to England from Chesterfield Inlet and four 1939 covers from Craig Harbour, Churchill, Pond Inlet and Port Harrison. Finally, a 1963 postcard from Pangnirtung with an oval "Eastern Arctic Patrol DEC.23.1963 R.M.S. Canada" handstamp. The postcard has some creases and a small tear, rest are all very fine. (Image)

image Group of 19 Arctic Expedition, Coast Guard, Ship, etc. Covers, 1961-1988, includes two 1975 Canadian North Pole Taylor Expedition covers, both signed by the expedition members and with enclosures. Also 5 covers from the S.S. Manhattan, Humble's second North West Passage voyage, 1970 and two 1974 m/v Seaspan Mariner ship cover from Vancouver to Tuktoyaktuk. Also three 1965 North West Passage Co. Expedition covers, who were looking for the doomed Franklin expedition. Also a 1985 North West passage Society expedition cover and a 1988 Soviet-Canada Polar Bridge Expedition cover signed by Canadian team members. Also covers from the Arctic Research and Training Centre in Rankin Inlet, a Jacobsen - McGill University Arctic Research Expedition cover, an M.V. Grebe Beaufort Sea cover, a C.C.G.S. John A. image Two Better 1939 Royal Train Covers, includes a very scarce JUN.10 United States Universal machine cancel cacheted cover used at Washington DC to service requests for Royal Train covers after Their Majesties departed for new York City. A must Have for Royal Train collectors as only about 14 of these are known. Also a MAY.15 registered special delivery cover with a Royal Train registration handstamp in English and in purple, plus a French machine flag cancel tying the stamps to the cover and two Royal Train c.d.s. cancels in French on the back. The cover is addressed to the U.K. with a Birmingham receiver and is very fine. (Image)

image 1944 and 1956 Post Office Emergency Postmarks on Commercial Covers, includes E-1.06 Emergency / R.P.O. No. 6 on a 1956 cover to radio station CKEY in Toronto, with return address on back from Barrie, Ontario. This has a rarity factor "G" in Gray RPO catalogue and is the earliest reported date. Also a "Montréal District / Emergency" postmark on a 1944 cover from St Jovite Station, The Gray Rocks Inn to Montréal, with vertical fold at right, through the 3c War issue stamp. (Image)
