TERM. STA. N.Y. 15/MAR 2/7:30 pm/1925" machine cancel (ironically with "REGISTER OR INSURE VALUABLE MAIL" slogan) and manuscript Registered Mail endorsement but no appropriate postage, a clerk must have noticed the endorsement and the cover was backstamped by New York (Varick Street Station), Mar. 3, REGISTERED, postmarks, a straightline "Found in ordinary mail" handstamp and a large "REGISTERED" handstamp, on arrival it received a red Balboa Heights, Mar. 10, REGISTERED, backstamp and then the dues to pay for the unpaid registry fee, also included are an article about this cover by Mr. Campbell that appeared in Linn's, and an article concerning, "Regulations for handling registered mail found in ordinary mail," by Tony Wawrukiewicz, also from Linn's, a remarkable postage due usage correctly paying an unpaid registry fee, an Extremely Fine cover.
