1922 2c Yellow Green Admiral Interesting Booklet Pane of Six, mint never hinged, with whiter gum and small specks of foxing on front, else very fine. This booklet pane is quite unusual in many ways, in that the stamps in column 1 and 2 are a distinctly different Marler design type than the stamps in column 3, a variety never previously recorded. In addition, it can easily be seen that the distance between column 1 and 2 (the normal 3.6mm) is wider than the distance between columns 2 and 3 (2.7mm). Also, the stamps in column 3 are the same height as those in columns 1 and 2, but are about 0.2 mm narrower. There are many other interesting features pertaining to this pane, as evidenced by the extensive research performed by Léopold Beaudet, a well known local Admiral specialist. An article recently written by him in the Admiral's Log (the newsletter of the Admiral Study Group) is included in the lot. (Image)
