image 1984 Winter and Summer Olympic Games Topical Collection, together with a small Space topical collection in three stockbooks. The Olympics collection includes many Mickey Mouse sets from a variety of countries, as well as other regular issues. This is supplemented by a few items pertaining to other Olympic games, notably the Monaco set Scott #204-8, CB7-10 in MNH imperforate corner stamps. The space collection highlights include a Canada Scott 1046 FDC signed by six Canadian astronauts (eg. Roberta Bondar, etc.) and a commemorative cover signed by astronaut Marc Garneau. (Image)

The collection includes an album holding stamps grouped by country of issue to the 1970s, a 64-page stockbook holding mostly stamps, souvenir sheets and panes issued since the 1980s and into the 2000s, slight duplication of some items is noted. image Collection of Stamps and Covers on Canadian Scouting and Jamborees, in 8 albums mainly featuring the Canadian and Regional Jamborees of 1955 to 2007. Also comes with one box of unsorted items including mostly covers and cards prepared for the Jamborees as well as lots of badges, some promotional material, jamboree souvenirs, scouting leadership literature and more. Covers, newspaper articles and souvenirs of the 1955 World Jamboree at Niagara-on-the-Lake fill two whole albums. Of note are the 15 different FDCs, some of which are quite rare. The 1960 Canada Girl Guide stamps is illustrated with 10 different FDCs. The lot also includes a monograph with illustrations of covers and cachets fro the Eight World Jamboree by Tony Manson. The other best represented events are the 1983 World Jamboree in Alberta with dozens of rarely seen FDCs and cancels and a passport with souvenir marks from the foreign delegations, the 1993 CJ represented with about 20 covers, Guides Canada Guelph’93 with a similar number, though much Guelph’93 material has also been seen in the unsorted box, there are more than 50 cards and covers from the Thunder Bay CJ’97, again, more in the unsorted. Many dozens of cards and covers come from CJ01 at Prince Edward Island. The Tamaracouta 2007 Jamboree is represented by dozens of FDCs, a Picture stamp of Lord Baden Powell and souvenirs. Also noted are a group of 1955 World Jamboree FDCs. (Image)

image An Extensive 35-volume Stamps and Covers Collection on World Scouting. This impressive collection is on considerably augmented “Scouts on Stamps Society International” album pages, and starts with Mafeking used stamps Scott #178 and 179, a reprint of the Mafeking Scott #178 sheet of 12 and goes on strong to 1995. The early years are represented by postcards, correspondence and documents. Stamp issues start with the 1918 Czechoslovakia issue and go to about 1995, while album pages to 2001 are included. There are few items after 1995, except for the 1999 Chile Jamboree which fills two albums. Throughout the collection regional, national and world jamborees, scouting events and anniversaries are illustrated with stamps, covers postcards and maxicards, and souvenirs from all countries. We scanned several pages online, viewing recommended to better appreciate. (Image)

We noted blocks, many souvenir sheets, cinderellas, sets, from a great variety of countries such as Canada, Argentina, Greece, Hungary, China, U.S., Nederland, Australian Antarctica, and more. No obvious duplication with some items still in dealer or auction cards with prices. Also included is a large stockbook with thirty full pages of stamps featuring predominantly ships but also various modes of transportation, plus two sets of cigarette cards (history of naval dress and history of navigation).
