image Belgium Collection of Advertizing Tab Pairs, 1927 to 1940s, all in 102 cards by catalogue number, identified by the owner per COB catalogue number (PU1 to 171). Close to complete in period (only missing a few), with about half of the pairs having both a mint and a used one. There are over 250 pairs in all, plus about 13 booklets covers and two panes. Catalogue value of €3,514 is from the 2008 COB. A nice clean collection, difficult to assemble. JG (Image)

image British Africa Mint and Used Collections, 1800s to Late 1990s, consisting of a few thousand stamps sorted by country, in mounts, mounted on album pages or stock pages. We noted some light duplication, with strength in South Africa and pre union states, such as Cape of Good Hope, Natal with a selection of "Chalons", Transvaal. image British America Mint and Used Collections Featuring the Falkland Islands, British Guiana and the Turks and Caicos also including an interesting collection of Trinidad and Tobago as well as smaller lots from the Bahamas, Barbados and other countries. The Falkland Islands collection includes MH George VI Silver Wedding high value (Scott #100, CV $110), George VI definitives Scott # 82-95 to the 5sh value in MNH blocks of 4, and a MH copy of the 10sh value of this same set Scott #95 (CV $100), the same complete set in used condition (CV $308), the second George VI definitive set Scott #107-120 used (CV $98) the Dependencies Scott #2L1 to 5L8 in MH blocks of 4 (CV $400) and more. The British Guiana includes a MH set of the 1934 George V definitives (Scott #210-222 CV $179) a MH se-tenant pair of Scott 159-159a the missing period error with a normal stamp (total Scott cv for the two stamps is $84), some high value sets in multiple copies. The Turks and Caicos collection goes to 1981 and looks very nearly complete from 1966 on. For that period from 1966 to 1981, most sets are present both in MH and used conditions. Also included are MH British Honduras Scott #4, 5 and 8 (total cv $367). Very fine throughout. JG (Image)

We noted Scott #1-11 used (CV $200), George VI Silver Wedding mint hinged and used Scott #30-1 (total cv $102), the Elizabeth definitives Scott #48-61a mint hinged and used (CV $113) and much more. The Sarawak collection includes a MNH George VI Silver Wedding Scott #175 (CV $50), the mint hinged Elizabeth definitives Scott #197-210, missing #203, (cv $99). image British Commonwealth Four Sets of Mint Omnibus Issues, with the 1937 and 1953 Coronations, 1946 Peace Issue and 1947 and 1954 Royal Visits, on specially designed pages. Each collection is complete according to Scott Common Design listings and includes stamps of different designs customarily included in Omnibus sets. The 1937 Coronation issue is on Walter C. Sergent hingeless pages. The collector has carefully identified varieties on the various stamps for this issue. The other sets are held on specially designed Lindner hingeless pages. In a large sample, we only found one hinged stamp. Very fine. (Image)

image British Commonwealth Mint and Used A to Z Collection, but no BNA, ranging from early Victoria to approximately 1953 in a Springback album and a 16 page stockbook consisting of over 2,100 stamps with little duplication. Included are “Back of the Book” issues such as Air Mails, Semi-postals, war tax, postage due as well as common design types such as the 1935 KGV Silver Jubilee, the 1937 KGVI Coronation, the 1946 Peace Issues, the 1949 Silver Wedding issues. Among the high value issues we noted Antigua #3 MH, Australia #7 and #151 used, Bahamas #89 MNH, Barbados #79 MH, Bechuanaland #53 MH, Bermuda #4 and #68 used, #109 MH, Gold Coast #28 used, Hong Kong #48, #79 and #121 MH, #52 and #52 used, New Zealand #156 and # 183 used, #O56 and O69 MH, Sarawak #63 used, Straits Settlements #39 used, as well as Trinidad and Tobago #10 used and #J6 MH. Watermarks were not checked. Overall, fine or better, some with heavy cancellations or other faults, as may be expected of the early issues. Scans only show a small portion, viewing is recommended to better appreciate the value and quality involved. (Image)

image British Commonwealth Stockbook Filled with Stamps and Souvenir Sheets from Various Omnibus Sets, from the 1935 Silver Jubilee to 2009 Queen Elizabeth’s Birthday. We noted 21 complete sets of the 1935 Common Design plus some other sets for this anniversary that did not use the common design. The 1978 set for the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s crowning is well represented, as are many other Royal events and anniversaries.
