6d dark green Imperforate on 1859 Cover, mailed Halifax on AUG.18.1859 to Massachusetts, franked with a very fine 6d dark green Heraldic imperforate, tied by light grid cancel, with red "PAID 10" in circle. A lovely use of this elusive stamp, cover is signed by Dr. Giulio Bolaffi (1963), with certificates from B.P.A. (1980) and Greene Foundation (2019) and ex. Nicholas Argenti (November 1963, lot 487).
