image 1924 5c violet Admiral with Retouched Vertical Line in Upper Right Spandrel, Wet Printing, a mint never hinged block of four, described by Marler as Type 6 (Plates 19 and 20), this with all four stamps retouched at upper right. In addition, the lower left stamp has its upper left spandrel line retouched, (according to Marler, only 4 stamps on plate 20 were retouched this way). According to owner, all four stamps are also affected by a light kiss print and these are much narrower than normal for wet printings. A great item for the specialist, very fine. Ex.
